I like to create art which is playful, unexpected, and sometimes subversive. Combining the medium of fiber with themes such as family, identity, and contemporary culture, a strong statement can be hidden in what at first glance appears to be innocuous. I enjoy working on the computer and by hand, and usually end up using both. Color and pattern are the foundation and the focus of my work.
I am a graduate of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI.
For more than 8 years, I worked as a Textile Designer and Production Manager at Arden Companies, designing prints for outdoor furniture cushions and pillows, and working with Arden’s suppliers doing color development and production for our screenprinted fabrics. I am currently looking for my next opportunity.
